After nearly a decade developing his practise in some of the country’s most renowned workshops, Milnes was awarded a Bespoke Guild-Mark from the Worshipful Guild of Furniture Makers for his coffee table Mille Feuille. Since then, he has gone on to build a unique creative language. Specialising in hand-cut marquetry, his work explores the blurred line between the manmade and the natural. Through intricate layering of hand cut veneers, Milnes creates organic surfaces which are laminated into three dimensional compositions.
